Vermont rockers Grace Potter & the Nocturnals are set to release their 4th studio album The Lion The Beast The Beat, available for download on June 12th under Hollywood Records. With producers Jim Scott (Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Wilco, the Tedeschi Trucks Band) and Dan Auerbach from the Black Keys, and guest appearances from Kenny Chesney and Willie Nelson on bonus tracks, the album is poised to be a successful follow-up to their critically acclaimed self-titled album released 2 years ago. The band tracked the majority of the record live at Scott’s studio in Santa Clarita, California, which gives it a raw, turn-back-the-clock sound. If the Grace Potter & the Nocturnals previous albums put them on the doormat of greatness, this album has them breaking the door down!
Grace Potter & the Nocturnals will have a busy year supporting their new album. They kicked off their summer stadium tour on June 2nd and performed their new single “Never Go Back” on Conan and Good Morning America last night and this morning. They will also be featured on VH1 Storytellers on June 15th, and will be playing the Grand Point Festival in Burlington, Vermont on September 14th and 15th with special guests, the Avett Brothers.
