Delta Spirit Announce Upcoming Headlining Tour

Delta Spirit have just announced their biggest headlining tour to date. The California roots-rockers are prepared to embark on a month-long tour starting at the House of Blues in New Orleans on Halloween and ending at a venue that shares the same name in Boston. Following a creative and successful self-titled album, Matt Vasquez and the boys have been “tear[ing] it up” all summer long at Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza;  they’re going to play selective shows with Philadelphia’s Dr. Dog, including a stop at Central Park in New York on September 20.

Delta Spirit have a way of taking their live shows to the next level; this tour will be no exception. Their past albums Ode to Sunshine and History from Below have given off more of an authentic live rock sound with Vasquez’s powerful voice and the band’s catchy riffs being the driving force behind their live shows, while Delta Spirit has a more polished modern sound that has transferred beautifully to the stage. The album was produced by Chris Coady at Dreamland Recording Studios, a converted church built in 1896 in Woodstock, NY. Men’s Journal says the album lands “somewhere between Neil Young and Radiohead”; high praise, but it’s hard to disagree.

This is the first tour collaboration between House of Blues Entertainment and fashion boot brand Durango. “Durango Presents Delta Spirit” will launch October 31 in New Orleans and feature dates in Dallas, San Francisco, Chicago and Los Angeles, among other cities.  A limited amount of tickets for these dates will be available beginning Thursday, August 9 directly from Delta Spirit at http://deltaspirit.frontgatetickets.com.  The regular on sale date will be Friday, August 10.
