New Rolling Stones Documentary On Its Way

All that sex, drugs and rock n’ roll must get tiring. You must be sick of it. No? Still up for it? Good. Then do we have a treat for you. Brett Morgan is serving up all the billboard hits, drama and scandal in a new film that takes a look at the one of the biggest rock icons of all time, The Rolling Stones.

Crossfire Hurricane will feature never-before-seen footage and interviews with the band members, as well as coverage of the notorious drama which became synonymous with their name. The Redlands drug bust, the Altamont Festival, the fall of Brian Jones—it’s all there with historical footage, contemporary commentary and live performance material of your favorite songs. All this comes out in time for the Stones’ 50th anniversary.

“This is not an academic history lesson. Crossfire Hurricane allows the viewer to experience the Stones’ journey from a unique vantage point. It’s an aural and visual roller coaster ride,” said Morgan in a statement. Well, you’d better sit down, buckle up, and keep all hands and feet inside the car. It’s going to be some ride. Crossfire Hurricane will be released in UK theatres in October, and it will premiere on HBO November 15.
