The Philadelphia Folk Festival Celebrates Its 51st Year

The Philadelphia Folk Festival is the longest-running festival of its kind in America. This year, the venerable festival celebrates its 51st year, and they’re pulling out all the stops. This year’s lineup includes appearances by Steve Earle & The Dukes, Lucinda Williams, Wanda Jackson, Little Feat, Paul Thorn, The City & Colour, Brother Sun and many more!

The festival has something for everyone. In addition to music, there will also be arts & crafts, as well as Dulcimer Grove, a kids-themed area with puppeteers and children’s music.

Tickets for the 3-day event (August 17, 18, and 19) are still available to be purchased on the Philadelphia Folk Festival’s website at www.folkfest.org. Individual day tickets are $52, and three-day passes are $116. Elmore Magazine is going to have a table set up, so don’t forget to drop by and say hello!
