Beatles Vinyl Editions of Remastered LPs to be Released

Next month, John, George, Paul and Ringo will be coming to vinyl. EMI released the Beatles’ remastered CDs in 2009, but now they will be reissued on 180-gram vinyl editions. The vinyls will consist of all 14 albums (count em: the 12 British albums, the American version of the Magical Mystery Tour soundtrack and the two-disc Past Masters of singles and rare tracks). The vinyl editions will be available individually and in a box set. In addition to all the musical glory, the box set also includes Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Heart Club Band cutouts, photographs, The White Album poster and a hefty new 252-page hardcover book by BBC producer Kevin Howlett. If you’re into this deal, you might have to fight some other Beatlesmaniacs, because the box set will be limited to 50,000 copies globally. The price has not yet been confirmed. The vinyls will be released on November 13 in North America. If your Beatlesmania is still acting up, you can check out a restored version of the Beatles’ 1967 Magical Mystery Tour, which is playing in select theatres now. The restored Magical Mystery Tour will also be available on DVD on October 8th
