Kimbra Releases Remix EP, Kicks off Tour

You might know her as the girl colored in the background of Gotye’s video, “Somebody That I Used To Know.” But Kimbra isn’t one to just stay in the background. The New Zealand singer/songwriter is as colorful and changeable in her music as she is in her fashion and appearance. Last year, Kimbra released her debut album, Vows. The songs featured a type of alt-pop with slight forays into jazz and funk along with fun, artsy theatricality. Now Kimbra will be releasing a special Vows remix EP that will only be available digitally. The EP contains remixes from Damian Taylor (Bjork, The Killers), M-Phazes (Talib Kweli) and others. Tomorrow will also mark the artist’s first stop on her first headlining tour of the U.S. and Canada. Kimbra will be heading towards New York in mid-October.

1)      Two Way Street (Damian Taylor Remix)

2)      Old Flame (Claude VonStroke Remix)

4)      Posse (Brass Knuckles Remix)
