Chickenfoot Re-Releases Debut Album

Four and a half years ago, Van Halen’s Sammy Hagar and Michael Anthony joined with guitarist Joe Satriani and Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith to form the supergroup Chickenfoot. Their self-titled album debut hit the charts in June, 2009. Now Chickenfoot has given you the chance to relive that time, because the band has released Chickenfoot in a fancy new deluxe edition. If you’re feeling super nostalgic, you can check out this lengthy video for “Something Going Wrong,” which lets you take a walk down memory lane with the band through a collection of studio cuts, live concert footage and candid shots of the musicians chilling out and rocking out.

If you want to brush up on your supergroup knowledge, then you’re in luck. Chickenfoot isn’t only the alliance of musical greats. There’s a whole epic history of supergroup rockers, and we take a look at a couple of them in the upcoming November/December issue of Elmore. Be sure to check it out!
