After Illness, Cat Power Announces U.S. Tour Dates

Cat Power’s had some trouble lately, but it looks like things are turning for the better. Last month, the  Sun singer faced bankruptcy and a skin condition called angioedema, which forced her to cancel her European tour. The illness, which causes swelling, itching and rashes, made it impossible for her to perform onstage and required some drastic health changes—no alcohol or cigarettes. Now the singer is well again and set to hit the stages again. But she won’t be hitting Europe just yet; she has booked six U.S. shows for next month. Afterwards, she’ll be heading to New Zealand and Australia. Cat Power will be performing at New York in the Terminal 5 on January 29th.
