Morrissey Resumes Tour Following Hospital Stay

Morrissey tour dates rescheduledBillboard reports that Morrissey is returning to the road following an extended hospital visit to treat a bleeding ulcer. The British singer’s tour is set to resume February 27th in San Diego.

Morrissey is resuming a tour that originally started in the United States in October. Last month, the singer was hospitalized with what ended up being a bleeding ulcer, which forced him to postpone several shows for weeks. The current tour encompasses 25 rescheduled dates as well as a handful of new shows. The tour will culminate with a sold-out show at the Staples Center, which is allegedly going full-vegan in honor of the singer and vocal animal rights activist. (The venue denies this claim, but Morrissey has been insistent that the venue’s food options will be meatless the night of the show.)

Morrissey’s last album, Years of Refusal, came out in 2009. When asked why he was going on tour without a new album to promote, Morrissey remarked, “Because a lot of people like me.”
