Jack White Adds Elephant Reissue to List of Record Store Day Releases

418tNZ7nksL._SL500_SS500_In honor of Record Store Day (April 20) and the tenth anniversary of the release of the White Stripes’ Elephant, Record Store Day Ambassador Jack White is releasing a remastered double-vinyl reissue of the album. As should be expected, Elephant will be re-pressed on two different White Stripes color-coordinated LPs: record one will be red and black, and record two will be white. You can look out for the standard black vinyl reissue later this year.

But that’s not the only good news for this year’s Record Store Day. Other exclusives include No Fun, a split 7-inch from the Black Keys and Iggy and the Stooges. It will feature the Stooges’ original “No Fun” along with the Black Keys’ cover version. The Flaming Lips’ Zaireeka will be reissued as a limited-edition 4xLP 12-inch vinyl set. Built to Spill is reissuing 2000’s Live as a limited edition 2xLP vinyl and deluxe edition CD. The Deftones are releasing a vinyl featuring live recordings of songs from their debut album, Adrenaline. Iron & Wine is releasing a 7-inch vinyl with two exclusive tracks, “Next to Paradise” and “Dirty Ocean.” Gary Clark Jr. will also be releasing “HWUL Raw Cuts Vol. 2,” a 12-inch that includes live and analog recordings of “When My Train Pulls In.” If these goodies have caught your eye, make sure to snatch them up quickly, because they’re all Record Store Day limited-edition exclusives. You might as well celebrate the holiday with a gift for yourself.
