Not every great musician gets their due at their creative peak, but it’s nice to see fans come around on an artist that they may have slept on at first. Still, if you had told Graham Parker fans that the original Angry Young Man would end up being featured in a big-budget movie,  they’d have looked at you like you were an alien. Yet here we are, and Graham has a new album with the Rumour, a part in This Is 40, and a new tour that swings by the Grammercy Theatre this month. In his prime, Graham was a truly electrifying performer, and he hasn’t calmed down much in his old age. With the Rumour backing him for the first time since the 70’s, it’s sure to be a scintillating performance.
