In Gary Clark Jr.’s new video for “Numb,” the guitarist goes through a bit of a rocky time with his lover, but after he takes a good, old classic ride through the countryside, they reconcile and it’s all peachy from there.
“Numb” keeps it very simple and has a very classic-rock-video feel. After Clark gets into a bit of a tiff with his lover over supposedly financial matters, he rides off into the countryside in his Cadillac Fleetwood—and this is all filmed in black and white, by the way—so he can have some alone time to break things down with his ax.
“Numb” comes from 2012’s Blak and Blu.
Make sure to catch Gary Clark Jr. as he hits the festival circuit this summer; this weekend, he’ll be at the Sweetlife Festival in Maryland, and in between his travels overseas, he’ll also be hitting up Mountain Jam and Governor’s Ball this June. Check out the video for “Numb” below.
