Maxwell’s will be leaving us soon, but at least they’re choosing to go out with a band. We’ve made no secret of our admiration of Ian Hunter’s work, from his time fronting Mott The Hoople to his new work with the Rant Band. Seeing this legend in any circumstance is worth it, especially in the friendly, intimate confines of Maxwell’s. Expect to hear a good amount off of his excellent new album When I’m President, but don’t be surprised if he brings out some of the old Mott The Hoople songs. Trust us, this’ll be a great show.
