Blind Boys of Alabama Announce New Album Produced By Justin Vernon

Blind Boys of Alabama new albumGospel legends The Blind Boys of Alabama are returning with a new album this year. Titled I’ll Find A Way, the album comes out on October 1st on Sony Masterworks.

For their new album, the Blind Boys turned to a collection of new, young collaborators led by new producer Justin Vernon of Bon Iver. Vernon also performs on the album, as well; joining him are Merrill Garbus of tUnE-yArDs, Patty Griffin, Shara Worden of My Brightest Diamond, and Sam Amidon.

On I’ll Find A Way, the Blind Boys worked with Vernon to assemble a collection of traditional songs and covers, including works by Bob Dylan, Ralph Stanley, and Charles A. Tindley, as well as gospel standards and songs that became well-known during the Civil Rights movement.
