Arctic Monkeys Release New Video for “Why’d You Only Call Me When You’re High?”

imagesArctic Monkeys have premiered a trippy video for their new single, “Why’d You Only Call Me When You’re High?,” off of their upcoming release AM. In the video, directed by Nabil, frontman Alex Turner leaves a bar to hook up with a girl. However, Turner starts having odd, trippy, sexual hallucinations. From the melting clock and the cell phone sinking into his skin to the multiple sexual encounters, this video really plays up the weirdness. We don’t know what Turner had, but we don’t want any.

The song is now available digitally and as a limited CD single. It will also be released as a 7-inch vinyl with an exclusive B-side, “Stop the World I Wanna Get Off With You.” The vinyl will be released on Sept. 2. AM is set for release on Sept. 9. You can watch the video for “Why’d You Only Call Me When You’re High?” below.
