Kings of Leon Host Nashville Music and Food Festival

imagesYou’ve got food, music and booze—all in the Music City. Some would call it heaven. Others would call it Music City Eats—because that’s what it is.

Kings of Leon are co-hosting this exciting food festival, which will take place in Nashville next month. Music City Eats is being organized by Caleb and Nathan Followill, along with chef Jonathan Waxman and Kings of Leon managers Ken Levitan and Andy Mendelsohn.

“A few years ago, Caleb Followill quietly slipped into my restaurant, Barbuto, in New York, and we bonded over food and music, and throughout our many conversations, he kept asking why there wasn’t a food and wine festival in his hometown of Nashville. We are inviting some truly amazing chefs from around the country, and most importantly, the best chefs and restaurants in Nashville. I am extremely excited by our shindig, and the Kings and I can’t wait until September rolls around,” Waxman said.

The weekend fest, which will feature chefs, music, demos and tasting sessions, will also encompass Petty Fest Nashville, which is all about—you guessed it—Tom Petty. The concert, which will be hosted by Kings of Leon, will take place at the War Memorial Auditorium and feature Patrick Carney of the Black Keys, Emmylou Harris, Jakob Dylan, Norah Jones, Ruby Amanfu, the Whigs and others performing Petty songs.

Music City Eats will take place on Sept.21-22. The Kings will also be releasing their sixth studio album, Mechanical Bull, on Sept. 24. For more information, check out the festival website.
