Oakland-based graphic designer Lauren LoPete has come up with the perfect way to represent Smiths frontman Morrissey’s notorious glum lyrics—by teaming them up with Peanuts panels. With the gloomy Morrissey and the downtrodden Charlie Brown, how can you go wrong?

It’s the loving cartoon characters of your childhood paired with the depressing cynicism of your teen years—that’s what we call nostalgia. According to her site, LoPrete was inspired by a 1986 Smiths poster that featured Charlie Brown.
