The Flaming Lips, Deerhunter, Animal Collective Releases Due Out on Cassette Store Day

cassette-store-daySure, they’re a bit old school, but cassettes need love too. Sept. 7 is International Cassette Store Day, and some limited-edition releases are planned for the holiday. Some of the releases include work by bands such as the Flaming Lips, Deerhunter, Guided by Voices, Haim, Animal Collective and others. In conjunction with the holiday, stores all over the world—England, Sweden, Finland, Germany and the U.S. —will host events such as live musical performances, DJ sets and more.
