Arcade Fire Premiere Interactive Video For “Reflektor”

Arcade Fire Reflektor videoArcade Fire have always had a knack for making the experience of watching a music video a less passive experience for everyone involved. In the past, they’ve released interactive videos for “Neon Bible” and “The Wilderness Downtown,” and the newly-premiered “Reflektor” music video finds them up to their old tricks.

Filmed by frequent collaborator Vincent Morrisset in Jacmel, Haiti, the video is, according to the band, about “a young woman who travels between her world and our own.” The video relies on a new form of technology that incorporates the viewer’s facial expressions via webcam: you can read about the technology used to create the video here.

The video for “Reflektor” can be seen at justareflektor.com. Arcade Fire’s new album, also called Reflektor, is due out on October 29th.
