Ramones To Release Six-Album Box Set

Ramones-band-w09Ramones fans are about to get something nice for their Christmas lists this year. The band are planning the release of re-mastered editions of their first six albums in a very generous box set covering their tenure at Sire Records. Titled The Ramones: The Sire Years (1976-1981),  the collection is slated for release on October 29th.

The box set contains the first six albums the band recorded for Sire Records, including their seminal self-titled debut album, Leave Home and the beloved Rocket To Russia, as well as End Of The Century, their notorious collaboration with Phil Spector, and Pleasant Dreams, which was produced by 10cc’s Graham Gouldman. An expanded digital version of The Sire Years also includes the band’s albums from their mid-80s period, a time that is not looked kindly on by critics but may be worth reconsidering.
