The Doors Releasing Collection of Rare Band Footage

Doors_electra_publicity_photoThe Doors want you to have more of the Doors in your life. To prove it, the band is digging up rare footage to share with fans this December. The new Blu-ray and DVD collection, R-Evolution, features the band’s early TV appearances, music films and commentary from John Densmore, Robby Krieger and the late great Ray Manzarek, and will track the band’s battles with censorship and their establishment of creative control. R-Evolution also features previously unreleased and rare footage of the band, as well as a never-before-seen Ford training film with Doors music and outtakes from the band’s 1967 appearance on Malibu U. It will also feature Doors favorites like “Break on Through (To the Other Side),” “Light My Fire,” L.A. Woman” and “People Are Strange.” If that’s not enough for you, the deluxe edition of R-Evolution will include a 40-page book with lyrics, photos, trivia and more. R-Evolution will released on Dec. 3.
