Once CMJ ends, the party doesn’t necessarily stop. If you’re still in New York after the festival ends and you’re having live show withdrawals, you can’t go wrong with Foxygen. The California-based retro rock band put out one of the year’s most talked-about albums in We Are The 21st Century Ambassadors Of Peace And Magic. Despite having dealt with their fair share of inter-band drama, the band are still a live force to be reckoned with, thanks in no small part to the onstage antics of vocalist Sam France. By this time next year, Foxygen will have either blown up or broken up, so now is as good a time as any to go see them.
