Members of Wilco, Furthur, And More To Recreate ‘The Last Waltz’

The Last Waltz concert Capitol TheatreThe Last Waltz – the Martin Scorcese-helmed documentary that chronicles the final concert of The Band – is often cited as one of the greatest concert films of all time. Now, 37 years after the film’s release, the concert is set to be re-created with members of some of the best bands in America right now, many of whom still see The Band as an inspiration.

The concert, which will be held at the Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, New York on November 27th, will feature performers taking on all of the songs performed in the film, including the songs performed by guests Bob Dylan, Van Morrison, Neil Young, Joni Mitchell, Muddy Waters, and Neil Diamond, among others. The concert will also feature a few performances that were ultimately cut out of the finished film, including “Four Strong Winds” (performed by Dylan on the film) and a rendition of “Georgia On My Mind.”
