Rodrigo y Gabriela, the acclaimed acoustic rock duo from Mexico, announced North American tour dates in conjunction with the release of a new album, 9 Dead Alive. The tour kicks off in New York City with back to back shows May 1 and 2 at the Beacon Theater. They will continue on to the West Coast, following with shows at Los Angeles’ Orpheum Theatre and the Hollywood Palladium May 6 and 7, respectively. Additional dates are May 9 at the Fox Theater in Oakland, Calif.; May 11 at the Paramount in Seattle, Wash.; and August 17 at Red Rocks in Morrison, Colo.

9 Dead Alive will be released April 29, and is the duo’s first album of new material in five years. Produced by Rodrigo y Gabriela and recorded at their studio in Ixtapa, Mexico, Gabriela said, “My idea was to record it as if we were playing a live gig in your living room.”

This will be Rodrigo y Gabriela’s first tour together since 2011. Additional dates will be announced soon.
