London-based band Yuck released a new single and announced a forthcoming EP this week, as they continue their North American tour.

The single, “Athena,” takes the band into a new dreamier, layered direction, in contrast to their previous releases Glow and Behold (2013) and Yuck (2011). The band’s new EP, Southern Skies, is set to be released later this spring, but does not have an official street date yet.

Glow and Behold was released Oct., 2013, and was the band’s first album without their original frontman, Daniel Blumberg, who left the band in April, 2013. Guitarist Max Bloom now fronts the band.

The band is currently in the middle of their North American tour, is playing dates in California, Arizona, Texas and Missouri before making their way up the East Coast. The tour concludes on Feb. 15 with a show at New York’s Bowery Ballroom.
