Loretta Lynn, Bobby Bare to Play Johnny Cash Music Festival

It’s been a big week for Johnny Cash. Yesterday would have been the Man in Black’s 82nd birthday, and today it was announced that three Country Music Hall of Famers are set to headline August 15th’s fourth Annual Johnny Cash Music Festival in Jonesboro, AR. Loretta Lynn, Bobby Bare and Reba McEntire will all play at the festival, which will be hosted by comedian Mark Lowry.

It will be held at Arkansas State University’s Convocation Center. The Festival, which donates its proceeds to charities to restore Cash’s boyhood home in Dyess, AR and a scholarship fund for underprivileged children.

The announcement was made by festival founder and is run by Nashville television producer Bill Carter. Past headliners have included Willie Nelson, George Jones and Vince Gill. 

Tickets go on sale Feb. 28 and will be available on the festival’s website.
