The Howlin’ Brothers, with their “old-time string country blues with an indie rock edge” sound, had a banner year in 2013 with the release of their first nationally released album, HOWL, a successful tour and appearance on PBS’ The Sun Sessions. The band drew on those experiences for their followup album, Trouble, set for an April 29 release date.

Trouble was produced by Brendan Benson of the Raconteurs, who described it as an album that is “all over the map, and I don’t just mean figuratively. The listener gets a glimpse into the troubadour lifestyle…it’s a journey very much worth the while.”

The band just launched an extensive tour this week, heading to Washington, D.C., then Austin for multiple dates for the SXSW Music Festival. They’ll then crisscross the country before ending up in London Oct. 10 for a benefit concert for the David Lynch Foundation, which they also played last year.

Full tour dates and more information about the album can be found on the band’s website
