The Libertines Plan Reunion Tour, Album

The Libertines reunionThe one-off Libertines reunion isn’t a one-off show anymore. The band have confirmed that they will be headed out on the road in Europe this year, and there’s even talk of a new album.

The band were scheduled to play one show in London’s Hyde Park as part of the Barclayard British Summer Time series of concerts, but it seems that Pete Doherty and company have seen it fit to expand their one show into a tour. The band will play dates in Germany, France, Holland starting this fall. There’s no word yet on whether or not the Libertines will make the journey across the pond.

Additionally, Doherty told The Daily Record that he and Libertines co-founder Carl Barat are in discussion to make a new album. “We’re also wanting to try out a few new ideas so it wouldn’t just be old stuff.,” Doherty said. “I don’t want to tempt fate but we both have the desire, so I think it will happen. It’s important to be honest and there’s still a lot we have to say.”
