The Hollywood Bowl’s Fourth of July shows are essential trips on the West Coast, but this year’s show is bound to be truly special. Steve Martin’s made a nice musical career for himself as one of the country’s premier banjo players, and his musical alliance with the Steep Canyon Rangers has produced some great albums in the past few years. What’s more, Martin and the Rangers will be joined by Edie Brickell, who recorded the excellent Love Has Come For You last year with Martin.
