Robert Plant “Disappointed And Baffled” By Led Zeppelin Reunion Rumors

zeppelin19102013Talk of a Led Zeppelin reunion has circulated over the past few months, with Jimmy Page and Robert Plant in a public dispute over the possibility (and increasing unlikelihood) of the event. Plant  has been avidly refusing a reunion and recently spoke to Uncut (via NME), saying of his former bandmate Page, “I feel for the guy, he knows he’s got the headlines if he wants them. But I don’t know what he’s trying to do. So I feel slightly disappointed and baffled.”

Since the band last performed together in 2007 in a one-off tribute at London’s O2 Arena, Plant has been adamantly against reforming the band. In a June press conference, he said Page needs to, “go to sleep and have a good rest, and think again.”

Plant also told Uncut recently that he did try to reach out to guitarist Page and was denied. “A couple of years ago I said, ‘If you’ve got anything acoustic, let me know. I’ll give it a whirl,” he said. “It was hands across the water. He just walked away. But we couldn’t do anything proper. The weight of expectation is too great.”
