James Hunter remains one of our favorite blues-rock musicians, and he always guarantees a great show whenever he’s in town. His latest album, Minute By Minute, won praise from Elmore’s Steve Walbridge upon its release in 2013; he praised Hunter’s style, calling it “a throwback to a T-Bone Walker era rich with horns and hollow body guitar.” As intense as Hunter is on record, the singer really comes into his own onstage, and the Iridium is the perfect place to see him.
