Ryan Adams is coming back with a new self-titled album this year, and we’ve already heard a piece of what he has in store with the searing “Gimme Something Good.” Now, Adams has released an official video for “Gimme Something Good,” one that finds him getting a little…dark.

The video opens with grainy VHS footage of a haunted house before cutting to Adams playing the song draped in darkness. As he plays, Elvira, Mistress Of The Dark appears, thus pushing the video into that strange space where horror and kitsch are the same thing. You can watch the Michael Reich-directed video below.

Ryan Adams comes out on September 9th via PAX-AM and Blue Note. Adams will appear on The Tonight Show tomorrow, August 13th.
