Husband and wife duo Johnnyswim are an unforgettable folk, blues and soul union. Abner Ramirez and Amanda Sudano (daughter of Donna Summer), are the driving force behind Johnnyswim’s critical acclaim. Diamonds, Johnnyswim’s first full length album, features an exuberant positivity that oozes from the record, an energy that attracts many to their shows.

Florida native Ramirez first met Sudano in Nashville, where they later formed Johnnyswim. The name is based on an ongoing inside joke regarding the movie Jaws, and though it doesn’t immediately resonate with some, their lively energy and charming sound will. Johnnyswim’s is on tour promoting the release of Diamonds, and will be playing a sold-out show at the Bowery Ballroom tonight at 9pm.
