2014 is shaping up to be a great year for Bob Dylan enthusiasts. Between a new album, a new tour, and a massive re-release of the legendary Basement Tapes sessions, there will be plenty of new Dylan stuff to go around. On top of all of that, fans will get a chance to hear some unreleased Dylan songs as interpreted by other artists on Lost On The River: The New Basement Tapes.

The album, produced and compiled by T Bone Burnett, collects unused lyrics that Dylan wrote in 1967, around the time that he and The Band were working on The Basement Tapes. While those sessions produced a few Dylan classics and the majority of The Band’s Music From Big Pink, many of the songs from those sessions weren’t released until the Basement Tapes compilation came out in 1975. Many recordings remained unheard, and a few songs were never recorded by Dylan or The Band. It’s some of the latter songs that Burnett pulled from, and he’s enlisted the help of Elvis Costello, Jim James, and Marcus Mumford, among others. Together, the group have set about putting Dylan’s lyrics to new music.

Today, the group have given listeners the first taste of their new Basement Tapes with “Married To My Hack.” The song is a classic take on the roadhouse rock ‘n’ roll that Dylan made his name on in the mid-to-late 1960s, with Costello taking lead vocal duties. You can watch the new lyric video for the song below.

Lost On The River: The New Basement Tapes comes out on November 11th.
