She’s a fiery, left-handed guitarist who plays a righty’s Fender Stratocaster upside down. She joined the 2012 Experience Hendrix tour. And now she’s covered “Foxey Lady.” It’s a bad idea to invite Hendrix comparisons if you don’t have the chops. But Malina Moye does.

Moye’s new six-song EP, Rock & Roll Baby – out today via iTunes and other digital retailers – demonstrates once again that she can play with the best of them. Fusing rock, blues, funk and soul, Moye’s new EP indeed shows the influence of Hendrix, while reaffirming her own unique sound. For a taste of that sound, check out lead single “K-yotic” (featuring Bootsy Collins) and her cover of “Foxey Lady,” exclusively today via Elmore, here.
