Grace Potter Starts ‘Vaulturnal’ Live Recording Series

Flagship Release Available Now To Stream

Grace Potter & The Nocturnals are an absolutely killer live band, so their devoted following is not all that surprising. The band play so many live shows each year that it’s difficult to keep track of all of them. Now, Grace’s fans can listen to their favorite live performances–and a few that they may have missed the first time around–in the comfort of their homes, thanks to the band’s new Vaulturnal project.

Vaulturnal will host high-quality recordings of several live performances in the Nocturnals’ extensive archives, the first of which–the band’s show at the Koussevitsky Music Shed at the Tanglewood Music Center in Lenox, Massachusetts–is available to stream right now. The project is something that has been on Grace’s mind for some time now: “We’ve been talking for a long time about launching a live site for fans to access our music, and we have a fanbase that really does feed off the live-music experience,” Grace said in a statement.”

The Lenox show is culled from their 2013 tour, but Grace says that the band’s live archive goes even further back into their past. “Because we spend most of our time on the road,” she said, “we have a deep well of archives dating back to 2003, when my dad was recording our early shows as a trio.”
