Jack White Covers Bandmate Dean Fertita On “Parallel”

Jack White has played with a lot of people over the years, but his new song finds the singer/guitarist paying direct tribute to the songwriting prowess of one of his bandmates. White is putting out a new 7-inch single for his song “Would You Fight For My Love?,” and for the B-side, White chose to cover “Parallel,” a song written by his Raconteurs/Dead Weather bandmate Dean Fertita. Originally featured on Fertita’s 2009 album Hello=Fire, the song gets turned into a rootsy jam, complete with fiddle and pedal steel before exploding with a rocking chorus that is vintage Jack White. You can listen to the song below, via Spotify.
