Bruce Springsteen, Chris Martin Perform With U2 At Free Concert

Yesterday was World AIDS Day, and the event was commemorated in New York City with a free concert in Times Square featuring some of the biggest names in music. The event was originally supposed to be headlined by U2, but Bono’s recent bicycle accident put their status in jeopardy. As a result, “U2 Minus One” showed up instead, with Chris Martin and Bruce Springsteen each taking turns filling in for the Irish frontman. Both were more than up to the task, with Martin saying that the performance was a dream come true for him.
