The Foo Fighters’ ambitious album/documentary project Sonic Highways wrapped its inaugural season on HBO a few weeks ago, but that doesn’t mean that Dave Grohl and company are just going to rest on their laurels for the holidays. The band are preparing for a massive world tour for 2015, and they got things kicked off in style on The Tonight Show. Playing the Sonic Highways cut “I Am A River” with the aid of a string section, the band presented a more meditative side of themselves before exploding in that very Foo Fighters way.
