For the last 34 years, the New York-based performing arts collective, Theatre Within, has hosted the Annual John Lennon Tribute. Over the years, with help from artists like Jackson Browne, Patti Smith, Steve Earle, Judy Collins, David Johansen, Raul Malo and countless others, this tribute show has beautifully honored Lennon’s legacy—and raised large sums of money for charity. This year, Debbie Harry, Joan Osborne, Marshall Crenshaw, Ben E. King and others performed, with legendary rock photographer Bob Gruen also on hand to receive the first-ever John Lennon Real Love Award.
