Jason Boland prides himself on playing country music. He doesn’t partake in the sort of polished, bland country songs that seem to be exclusively about God and pickup trucks; Boland is a songwriter’s songwriter, one who prides himself on relating to his audience without pandering or talking down to them. Boland’s a real guy writing about real things, which is what country music is supposed to be. Boland’s live shows have a similarly refreshing, down-home feel to them, which is something that audiences will certainly appreciate. Boland’s latest tour has him and his band, the Stragglers, coming through the Cotillion Ballroom in Wichita. For more information and to purchase tickets, click here.
