Grace Weber is sort of an “old soul,” but not in the way that you think. Her music comes from the finest traditions of soul and R&B, but Weber does well to give a different, modern spin on those traditions. Her newest album, The Refinery, won raves all around (from us, especially) for its surprisingly soulful set of songs with a strong base in roots and gospel. Live, Weber’s musical roots come to the forefront as she handles each of her influences with aplomb.
