Originally hailing from Cape Town, South Africa, Civil Twilight has come a long way to share their haunting brand of indie rock. Though, to be fair, you may have already heard their music without even realizing it; the band’s songs have been featured on dozens of television shows and trailers, including One Tree Hill, The Vampire Diaries, House M.D. and many more.

Although the four piece band hasn’t released an album since 2012’s Holy Weather, they’re continuing to build acclaim, having opened for Smashing Pumpkins and Florence and the Machine and garnering comparisons to U2, Radiohead, Muse and Jeff Buckley. If these sound like big shoes to fill, the band is certainly up to the challenge, currently recording their third studio album while touring across the country.
