Swedish folk singer Kristian Matsson, better known to his fans as The Tallest Man On Earth, is returning with his first album in three years, Dark Bird Is Home. Over the past few years, Matsson has won fans with a lyrical style that recalls the surreal poetry of a young Bob Dylan, but his newest work finds him taking a more direct approach. On “Sagres,” Matsson’s voice takes a soothing tone over a lush keyboard track that gives his music a different dimension. It’s one of the most emotionally direct songs that Matsson has ever written.
