Joe Russo’s Almost Dead

Fête Ballroom / Providence, RI

Joe Russo’s Almost Dead isn’t your average side project. Joe Russo founded the band in 2013, after playing for five years in Furthur, Grateful Dead members Bob Weir and Phil Lesh’s latest rock outfit. Still craving more Grateful Dead action, Russo teamed up with Ween’s bassist Dave Dreiwitz, keyboardist Marco Benevento, and guitarists/singers Tom Hamilton and Scott Metzger to form Joe Russo’s Almost Dead, with the sole purpose of covering the mighty oeuvre of The Dead.

The guys brought their act to Providence, Rhode Island’s Fête Ballroom in February. Check out the action below.
