Watch U2 Perform In The New York City Subway

Back in October, U2 planned a week-long residency on The Tonight Show that was postponed when Bono injured his arm in a cycling accident. Since then, the band have kept a low profile, but now that they’re gearing up for a world tour behind their latest album Songs Of Innocence, the band are back in New York to return to the Tonight Show stage. While they won’t be on the show for a week, the band have been filming material for a U2-centric episode of the show set to air Friday, and a crowd at the Grand Centray subway station got to see what’s in store when a group of buskers who looked suspiciously like the Irish arena-rockers began performing on the platform. You can watch a short, fan-taken clip of the band performing “Angel Of Harlem” below.

U2 will appear on The Tonight Show this Friday, May 8th at 11:35 EST
