Folk singer/songwriter Adam Zwig is releasing his new single, a cover of Bob Dylan’s “Just Like Tom Thumb’s Blues,” on Friday, July 31st (from his upcoming album Adam Zwig: Live At The Wiltern Theatre).

Renowned for his stage presence and intimate connection with the audience, his new album magnificently captures that powerful bond. While on tour supporting his sixth studio album, Stone, Bones And Skin, Zwig wanted to record the “conversation” and energy between him and the audience, creating the album that is Live At The Wiltern Theatre, produced by Grammy award winner, David Bianco.

Zwig’s playful and charismatic vocals challenge Dylan’s rendition of the song (which Zwig calls “very sweet and acoustic”) with youthful excitement. Where Dylan performs the song with a grittier and laid back demeanor, the contemplative and accepting tone of the song is uplifted by Zwig’s sweet, engaging, upbeat arrangement. The crowd’s applause at the end tells no lies. What a great single choice to demonstrate his incomparable connection with the audience to follow his numerous Top Ten AC Radio hits throughout his career.

Have a listen to the new single below, out on iTunes on July 31st:
