Acclaimed music photographer Joseph A. Rosen has been taking peerless shots of all your favorite blues, R&B, soul, jazz and rock artists for almost 40 years, placing shots in the pages of The New York Times, TIME, Newsweek and Elmore. Now, fans of the blues—and fans of great music photography—can enjoy the latest compilation of Rosen’s work, Blues Hands.

The new book, now available for sale, reveals, via photos of the artists’ hands, the power, pain, and beauty of the blues. You’ll literally see legends like B.B. King, Al Green, James Brown and Buddy Guy like never before.

Once you’ve seen the incredible hands in front of the camera, you’ll have the chance to meet the man behind it. On November 7, from 2pm-5pm, Rosen will be signing copies of Blues Hands at the place for music photography in New York City: Morrison Hotel Gallery.
