Long time musician and music journalist Brian Cullman is releasing The Opposite of Time, his first solo album in eight years. Produced by Jimi Zhivago & Cullman, The Opposite of Time was recorded at The Maid’s Room in New York City and mixed by Hector Castillo (Bjork, David Bowie, Lou Reed).

The Opposite of Time has a very laid back, mellow feel to it. “Times Are Tight” channels Lou Reed and captures what NYC probably felt like for musicians back in the ’60s (or even now). The beat shifts with track two and “And She Said” has an upbeat vibe. Songs worth repeating include “Spoiled Child Blues” and “Memphis Madeline”…and all the other tracks too.

Every song stands alone and tells a tale of its own. This is a soundtrack for Cullman’s city and it’s sweet, happy, sad and beautiful.
