Singer/songwriter/pianist/guitarist and humanitarian Seth Glier will make a swing through the East Coast before making his appearance at MPressFest, the record company’s 10th Anniversary bash at SXSW on Friday, March 18th.  With ten dates in the next month or so, Glier begins in St. Petersburg, FL and Port Chester, NY, bounces to Austin for performances at the gargantuan SXSW music fest, then returns to blanket the East Coast.

For those not yet familiar with Glier, the young man writes timeless songs, plays fantastic piano and gives about as good on guitar. He also fronts one of the more interesting small groups in music:  Glier on vocals and something, longtime bandmate, saxophonist  Joe Nerney, three and a half decades older than Glier, and sometimes (but not always) a bassist.

Glier, a spokesperson for Autism Speaks, will communicate his message and his music wherever he can: his recent show in Port Chester was in a high school auditorium, but he performs at the biggest festivals and speaks at TED Talks, too.

Today, Elmore is lucky to premiere an acoustic version of “Scars,” a track from his 2015 record, If I Could Change One Thing. Glier’s beautiful voice is laced with emotion, and his lyrics are filled with evocative, poetic imagery. Give it just one listen, and see why Glier’s his own, quiet revolution.

Head HERE to read more about MPress and RSVP to our amazing SXSW Day Party, and listen to Glier’s “Scars” below.
